ESA Membership Evolving in 2020: New Benefits, More Options
Exciting new benefits – and, in some cases, a simpler dues structure – are on the horizon for electronic security and life safety companies across the country.
New Benefits
The new benefits coming for ESA members nationwide in 2020 include access to the new Training as a Service (TaaS) – a concierge onboarding and personnel development program from the National Training School that is currently in beta testing; discounts on ESA Leadership Summit event registrations; and online training credits for NTS courses.
Members can learn more about these exciting new benefits by staying tuned to ESAweb.org and subscribing to ESA News, which includes the weekly “Integrator” newsletter, updates on training, government news, promotional discounts, advocacy updates and more.
“We take pride in being your connection to the electronic security and life safety industry,” says ESA President Chris Mosley. “We strive each day to deliver benefits to help your company grow, succeed and run most efficiently.”
Beginning in 2020, these new national benefits – as well as all of ESA’s existing powerful membership offerings – will be available directly from ESA in every state, with no requirement to join local state associations.
Currently, members headquartered in states with local chapters, including the below, are required to join at the local level to gain access to ESA’s national benefits, like exclusive member discounts on training and insurance. This will no longer be the case. States with local chapters include:
- Alabama
- California
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Florida
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New York
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Puerto Rico
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Vermont
- Virginia
- Utah
- Washington
- Wisconsin
“We take pride in being your connection to the electronic security and life safety industry,” says ESA President Chris Mosley. “We strive each day to deliver benefits to help your company grow, succeed and run most efficiently.”
In 2020, this requirement to join state associations in order to gain access to national benefits will be lifted, enabling ESA to provide all members with equal access to ESA — and to choices that work best for their businesses.
When members renew this November, their ESA invoice will include ESA national dues only, giving members the option to invest their savings back into their local associations. And while it will no longer be a requirement, local influence and engagement is valuable — and ESA encourages you to become active in your local associations.
“We’re working harder than ever to provide the most powerful benefits at the most competitive rates no matter what state you reside in,” says Mosley. “You customize all your purchases. It’s only fair you’re able to customize your ESA investment as well.”
Having local touchpoints and meeting with local professionals can make a difference in your business. ESA supports membership at both the local and national levels.
