ESA Members Compete Head-to-Head in Fantasy Football
NFL Football is finally back — kicking off tonight with the Buffalo Bills vs LA Rams. ESA is again hosting its Fantasy Football Leagues, where security pros from across the nation compete head-to-head. Security pros from coast to coast are slated into four different ESA Fantasy Football Leagues.
What’s Fantasy Football? This virtual game engages participants as owners and general managers of virtual professional American football teams. The competitors select their rosters by participating in a draft in which all relevant National Football League players are available. Fantasy teams have starters and backups, just like real NFL teams do. To sum it up, you compete against your industry friends, you draft a team made up of NFL players and based on their on-field performance each week, you score points.
So, if you have Tom Brady on your team and he throws a touchdown — your team scores points. Add up all the points and the team with the most at the end of each week’s head-to-head competition wins. The team with the most weekly wins at the end of the season wins.
If a player is struggling, you can release them, just like in the NFL. You can trade with other teams. And if no one has a player on their team, they are available to be added to your roster from the waiver wire.
Just like the NFL, the leagues have a postseason as well. In the final week, our winners are announced!
This icebreaker to enhance peer-to-peer friendships within the electronic security and life safety is another way ESA helps professionals connect in a fun, casual way. All the players will fight for the chance to win prizes at the end of the season.
Throughout the football season ESA will keep a leaderboard of which teams are making it to the top of their leagues.
