ESA and Nevada Chapter Contribute to Injured Police Officer’s Fund of Nevada
Honoring the Officer's Involved in the Tragic Las Vegas Shooting
Irving, Texas (November 16, 2017) — During a special Nevada Security Association Meeting, held last week, the Electronic Security Association and it’s Nevada Chartered Chapter presented Las Vegas Metro Police Assistant Sheriff, Tim Kelly, with a $5,000 donation for the Injured Police Officer’s Fund of Nevada.
The donation comes in response to the tragic shooting that took place in Las Vegas on October 1. In support of the brave officers who faced danger that night and every night, ESA and NSA stepped up to donate.
“The headlines of late have been so incredibly tragic. It has never been more important that we come together as a nation,” says ESA President, Angela White. “ESA is proud to embrace, thank and support our first responders, who run into danger to keep us all safe.”
“We were heartened and proud of how our first responders and everyday citizens reacted during the incident,” NSA President Jon Perry said. “Police Officers were killed and injured as they rushed toward danger to protect their fellow citizens that night. Their heroism will not be forgotten, and we are proud to honor all law enforcement with this heartfelt donation.”
The Injured Officer’s Fund helps reduce the financial burden suffered by Police Officers and their families in the event of a line of duty injury or death by providing monetary assistance to these Officers and their families.
