The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) Welcomes Scott Harkins of Resideo to its Board of Directors
Scott Harkins, Vice President of Sales at Resideo was recently appointed by The Electronic Security Association (ESA) as a member to the FAST Board of Directors.
Effective July 1st, 2023, Harkins will serve a two-year term on the board.
Scott Harkins has over 35 years of experience in the security industry and is currently the Vice President of Sales at Resideo and is responsible for growing the Security, HVAC, Electrical, OEM and Software-as-a-Service channels.
“As a longtime supporter of the foundation, I know firsthand the passion and commitment Resideo has toward helping the security industry attract and retain a skilled workforce. FAST is extremely fortunate to have one of their senior leaders in Scott Harkins lend his expertise and vast industry perspective,” said ESA board chairman and president of LOUD Security John Loud.
Over the years, Harkins has used his expertise to help develop, manage and execute ideation of innovative solutions that create substantial customer and corporate Software-As-A-Service revenue stream by leveraging connected devices, data, AI and Machine Learning for homes and business.

The board members are a team of committed industry volunteers whose mandate is to promote the interests and growth of FAST. Board members should represent the industry’s perspective to the foundation and promote its mission broadly to all stakeholders including industry, academia, media, and public/private grant making organizations.
