ESA Young Security Professionals Ramp Up for Vegas
YSP West special events attract members from across the country
Irving, Texas, March 11, 2010 - YSP West is the moniker for the Electronic Security Association (ESA) Young Security Professional's (YSP) action-packed events scheduled for March 24 "“ 25, 2010. Excited participants anticipate a full-fledged Las Vegas experience combining education and networking when they arrive at this year's ISC West.
To break the ice, YSPs will gather at the infamous Rockhouse Bar for a networking social on March 24. Providing an opportunity to connect with their industry peers, the casual and fun Rockhouse environment should help YSPs build relationships that will benefit them personally and professionally. This event will also provide an opportunity for the YSPs to meet some of the industry's more "seasoned" individuals such as ESA President, Mike Miller, and other members of the Executive Committee.
On March 25, another YSP-specific event features a guided tour of Alarmco, one of the most successful alarm companies in Las Vegas. A full-service, high-end facility, Alarmco has been securing businesses, homes and casinos for sixty years. During this tour, YSPs will be exposed to technologies and ideas that could apply to their own companies.
Supporting ESA YSPs is a strong network of Partner Members who believe in the future of these up-and-coming professionals. GE Security, Honeywell, Potter-Amseco, RSI Videofied, System Sensor, Kleinbard, Bell & Brecker and ADI round out an illustrious list of Partner Member sponsors who provide backing for these events.
Eligible attendees for these events are young security professionals between the ages of 25 and 45 who are managers or above in a company that designs, sells, installs, services and/or monitors electronic life safety and/or security systems. Anyone meeting these requirements is welcome to attend these events.
Individuals interested in becoming a YSP or companies interested in knowing more about becoming a YSP Partner Member should contact ESA Associate Executive Director Tonja Jenkins at (888) 447-1689 or via e-mail at TonjaJ@alarm.org.
