ESA to Implement AI-Powered Exam Proctoring Tool

ESA’s National Training School is implementing a new AI-powered exam proctoring tool.   As online learning continues to be the preference of electronic security and life safety professionals, ESA is doubling down on modernizing the online learning experience by ensuring its online testing is smarter, more conducive to common company policies, and less intrusive to test takers.  We’re thrilled to announce that ESA’s National Training School is making an important upgrade to our online exam experience by transitioning to a smarter, more flexible, and less invasive proctoring platform that ensures fairness and integrity without disrupting the testing process and enforcing browser downloads.    By the end of the year, ESA will transition all its online testing to an advanced, user-friendly AI-powered online proctoring tool that helps ensure the integrity of all exams.  The platform uses smart monitoring technology to flag suspicious behavior during exams while respecting learner and company privacy. Students can expect a smoother, less stressful exam experience without constant human oversight.

We understand that online proctoring can sometimes feel intimidating or invasive,” says ESA COO, Jillian Bateman-McIntosh. “That’s why we’ve chosen a platform that will allow us to be more flexible and student-centered in our approach to proctoring while maintaining testing integrity. The platform uses AI to monitor exams and notify live proctors if something suspicious happens, minimizing unnecessary interruptions during test taking.”  “Privacy is a top priority of the association,” she continues. “I think we’ve struck the perfect balance moving forward to ensure our industry-standard certifications are awarded under rigorous standards, meeting all university and state licensing benchmarks — while also keeping our learner’s experience top of mind.”

Here’s what electronic security and life safety professionals can expect from all ESA exam experiences by the end of the year:

  • A Less Stressful Experience: You won’t be constantly monitored by a live proctor, which helps reduce exam anxiety.
  • Easy-to-Use Interface: A simple-to-use platform that will allow you to take the test on your own time.
  • 24/7 Support: The support team is available any time you need help, ensuring that any technical issues are resolved quickly.

What’s more, the new proctoring system recognized by hundreds of the nation’s leading colleges and universities, will continue to meet all state licensing requirements utilizing live human oversite to ensure accuracy when potential cheating behaviors are flagged.  This highly trusted and reliable platform has been proven to prevent cheating, maintain fairness, and instill integrity throughout the testing process.  ESA to Implement AI-Powered Exam Proctoring Tool
