Companies Donate to Workforce Development Industry Initiatives
Jillian Bateman — July 8, 2020

With the recent necessary cancellation of the annual AIREF Golf Classic Tournament in Las Vegas this year, the organization’s sole fundraising event, some companies are stepping up to support the vital mission of driving new talent to the electronic security and life safety industry.

Companies including Alarm.com ($2,000), Honeywell ($1,140) and the California Alarm Association ($500) donated to the cause.

Funds raised by AIREFwhich once was exclusively a research and educational foundation, are now funneled into new initiatives that support connecting passionate, innovative professionals with new opportunities in the electronic security and life safety industry.

Stay tuned for announcements on AIREF’s anticipated evolution to The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) – a joint ESA and SIA driven outlet, bringing awareness to the career advancement opportunities within our fast-paced tech industry that serves to keep people, places and property safe.
