Yes, you read that correctly — it’s an extremely high percentage, but it doesn’t surprise me. Associations, like ESA, bring so much value to their members that they should be a staple in your company's annual budget.
As we embark on membership renewal season and we think about how we can be better in 2018, I thought it appropriate to highlight what being a member of an association like ESA delivers to you.
Visibility, voice, the opportunity to connect with others in our field, education, savings, and philanthropy are all significant and intrinsic value that members receive by being a part of ESA.
Of course, your experience is what you make of it. Joining is just the first step in a multi-step process.
I urge you to take advantage of all this powerful association has to offer this year.
I hope you will allow ESA to provide a pathway for your company — your employees — to grow in 2018. I can personally attest to the success engagement with this association can grant you.
NETWORKING
Whether face-to-face at a conference, during an association-led webinar or more, there are a number of opportunities for you to establish connections with people who can become a colleague, mentor, friend and customer. Stay tuned for announcements in 2018 for more website developments that will include online chat rooms for members!
EDUCATION
Associations, like ESA, provide a host of knowledge and educational opportunities so that your business can grow. Our National Training School has formed partnerships with CEDIA, collaborating to expand offerings. Beyond that, we’re seeing our courses recognized in more states for licensing.
SAVINGS
Associations can offer exclusive member savings. Not only does ESA have a member savings program that offers discounts to member companies and their individual employees (think personal computers, hotel stays, etc.), ESA’s insurance program Security America, offers exclusive rates to members on policies including: umbrella, errors and omissions, cyber liability coverage, commercial auto, workers compensation and more.
PHILANTHROPY
Associations have the unique ability to do more — more than just deliver services that affect members’ top and bottom lines. ESA has become an outlet for the electronic security and life safety industry to positively impact the world around us.
ESA’s Youth Scholarship Program, for example, has already awarded over $336,000 to youth of active first responders seeking higher education.
The recent donation from the Nevada Security Association (NSA) and ESA to the Injured Officer’s Fund of Nevada helped support the brave officers who faced danger during the tragic shooting that took place in Las Vegas in October.
And the ESA Gives Back program has raised funds for SIAC, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, the Green Beret Foundation, Mission 500, the Wounded Warrior Project and more.
