Merlin Guilbeau is an Army veteran with 36 years of experience in the electronic security & life safety industry. In 2002, he transitioned from company owner and volunteer leader to an association executive when he became CEO of the Electronic Security Association (ESA). Guilbeau provides strategic direction to ESA and its subsidiaries and has helped solidify the association’s position as the voice for the industry. Guilbeau also lends his experience by serving on the UL Security Council and on the board of directors of several industry organizations. In 2012 he graduated from the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management, the nation’s premier non-profit professional development program. Guilbeau was inducted to the Security Sales & Integration Hall of Fame in 2020
