ESA Leadership Summit Announces Shelley Row as Seminar Speaker

ESA Leadership Summit Announces Shelley Row as Seminar Speaker Sessions will focus on decision-making skills and maximizing productivity Irving, Texas (October 28, 2015) — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is pleased to announce that Shelley Row, will present two seminars Wednesday afternoon February 3, 2016 at the ESA Leadership Summit. The Summit is slated for Jan. 31 – Feb. 3 in Chandler, Ariz. Row works with leaders, managers and organizations to improve professional decision making by identifying subtle personal behaviors that hold them back. Over-thinking a decision wastes time; knee-jerk decisions leave destructive results in their wake; and complex decisions require the wisdom to pause and let the brain process. Using expertise gained through the NeuroLeadership Institute, Row assists business leaders with developing a deeper appreciation of brain functioning so they can achieve more self-awareness, objectivity and discipline to their decision-making. Row founded Shelley Row Associates LLC following a distinguished 30-year transportation career. Her career as a transportation engineer started in 1984 when women engineers were few. She worked as a transportation engineer in Texas, California, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia during the 1996 Olympic Games. She finished her career in the Senior Executive Service with the U.S. Department of Transportation where she ran a research program on “talking cars.” She is an award-winning leader with top honors in her agency. Row holds Bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Virginia Tech. She is a registered professional engineer and professional transportation operations engineer. Shelley Row Associates LLC is a 100% woman-owned business with certifications at MBE programs through the states of Maryland, Virginia, California and New Jersey. Row’s first session, Stop These Time Wasting, Brain Draining Mistakes, focuses on teaching business leaders and their employees how to identify time-wasting, productivity-sapping mistakes through recent advances in neuroscience. By recognizing the finite nature of the mind’s ability to focus attention, business leaders can learn how to use that precious resource and how to recharge it. Row will focus on eliminating distractions, managing time during meetings, managing personal time and eliminating habits that block recognition of new opportunities. Row’s second session, Use Your Gut: Effective Decision Making in an Over-Thinking World, focuses on harnessing one’s instinct to make timely decisions. Row will teach business leaders how to find the ideal ground between kneejerk reactions and over-thinking; tempering hard-to-control emotions and the tendency to over analyze every choice. Row will present information gleaned from interviews with over 75 respected leaders that confirm effective decision-making comes from the skilled balance of cognition and intuition. Row’s seminars will run back to back and begin at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2016. Both sessions are graciously sponsored by Interlogix, the Diamond Sponsor of the event. The 2016 Leadership Summit promises to be even bigger and better, bringing together 300 security industry professionals to Link Learn and Lead their businesses to new heights. Registration for the ESA Leadership Summit is live and early registration discounts are available.
