ESA Announces Election Results Election of New Officers and Three Bylaw Amendments Pass Irving, Texas (July 7, 2015) — Members of the Electronic Security Association recently voted on a slate of three officer positions as well as three bylaw amendments which were passed and went into effect immediately. The new officers were installed during the ESA Annual Membership Meeting on June 23, 2015 at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) and officially took office on July 1, 2015. G. Thomas Eggebrecht, Ph. D. of Bonds Alarm Company in Phoenix was elected to a one-year term as Vice President/President Elect in an uncontested race. Steven E. Paley of Rapid Security Solutions in Sarasota, FL was elected to a two-year term as Treasurer in another uncontested race. Dee Ann Harn of RFI Enterprises, Inc. in San Jose, CA was elected to serve a two-year term as Vice President. Harn was selected from a pool of four candidates. Three bylaw amendments were also passed, going into effect immediately. Amendment #1 revised Section 4.7.3.4 to provide that an individual cannot act as the primary or secondary voting representative for more than one member at a time. Amendment #2 added a provision to Subsection 5.3.1 stating that no two officers may be employed by the same ESA member at any one time, except in the case where an officer changes employment from one member to another during his or her term, in which case that officer shall be allowed to complete their term. Amendment #3 adds Section 6.3.2.5, stating that any nominee who changes employment from one ESA member to another or accepts an offer of employment from a different member prior to their election must, in either event, notify the Election Committee prior to such election of his or her change in job status or, alternatively, withdraw his or her name from consideration as a nominee. Ballots were sent in both via mail and electronically. Polls closed at 2 p.m. Central time Friday, June 5.
