AIREF Hitting the Greens for 12th Annual Golf Classic Irving, Texas (Mar. 27, 2015) — Tee Up for the 12th Annual Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF) Golf Classic set for April 14, 2015 at the Revere Golf Club (RGC) in Las Vegas. The golf tournament, a successful fundraiser since its start in 2003, is the primary source of funding for AIREF and its varied research projects that benefit the industry and enhance public safety. Golfers will be divided into two separate flights and will play for cash prizes. The top two foursomes will receive $300 each; the two second place winning teams will receive $150 each. Additional prizes will be awarded for closest to the line, longest drive, and have four opportunities for a $20,000 Hole-in-One prize. Mulligans and raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing are available upon registration. Complimentary bus transportation to and from the Las Vegas strip to Revere Golf Club will be provided. Buses will leave the Treasure Island Casino at 7:15 a.m. to head over to the golf course and then leave to return to Treasure Island at 3:15 p.m. Golf registration and breakfast at RGC begins at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 8:40 a.m. Back by popular demand, professional long drive golf entertainer Nyle Pruitt will perform at the driving range and on the course. Live golf scoring is a new feature of the event this year. Each team will receive a VPAR electronic score pad that will be connected to the clubhouse leaderboards and TVs. This feature will be sure to add excitement to the friendly competition on the greens. A BBQ lunch, post play reception, raffle and awards ceremony are all part of the schedule at the 12th Annual AIREF Golf Classic. Golfers of all levels are welcome and able to register as a single or a group. Club rentals are also available and can be arranged the morning of the event at the club’s Pro Shop.
