This past summer, a female employed at Modern Systems, Inc., was entering the building, when she was confronted by a brooding man she described simply as “creepy.”

Little did she know, that man was 41-year-old Dwight Bell, a violent and troubled man who spent most of his adult life in prison after killing his father — and who would later confess to murdering Carolyn New, a 70-year-old woman whose body was found in a Baptist Church that very day.

In what is believed to be the hours before the murder, a female employee at Modern Systems, Inc. takes the trash out to the company’s dumpster. She is yelled at and approached by a man she later describes as “creepy.” Feeling uneasy and extremely uncomfortable, she reports the altercation to the company’s president, David Morris.
