Scheduled for January 19-23, 2014, the Summit will take place at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla."This year’s event will focus on sharing business intelligence for growing companies,” said John Knox, ESA president. "We want company leaders to leave with actionable plans to help them compete in the expanding market.” With a strong emphasis on learning from experts outside of the industry, this year’s program will feature speakers with business insights that security professionals don’t traditionally have the opportunity to hear. The new format will also provide more time for participants to network and learn from their peers. Steve Firestone, Select Security executive vice president and Leadership Summit advisor said, "We wanted to focus this year on giving attendees more than just a 30-thousand foot overview of the relevant topics. Rather, our aim is to have them walk away with a list of practical 'how-tos' from each of the presenters. Several of the general sessions have been designed with subsequent breakout sessions, held by the keynote speakers that will guide the participants towards an understanding of how to take what they've learned and translate it into something they can use in their business successfully.”In addition to the robust speaker and seminar line-up, ESA of Florida will host a golf tournament benefiting their Youth Scholarship Program. "The tournament will take place on Thursday as a perfect ending to the Summit. We encourage everyone to participate,” said Knox. "There’s plenty of sunshine, it’s a fun course and it’s for a worthy cause.” The 2014 ESA Leadership Summit will be headquartered at the Rosen Centre Hotel. It is formatted to appeal to security industry professionals who want their businesses to thrive, not just survive. Accordingly, the Summit will feature a robust speaker and seminar line-up to give attendees actionable and applicable takeaways that they can immediately implement.
