The 2014 ESA Leadership Summit is pleased to announce two new sessions scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. The first session, from 11:10 a.m. -12:10 a.m., is entitled "Making the Right Product & Solution Decisions for your Business” and will focus on how integrators are keeping up with rapidly changing technology in the security industry. The first session, from 11:10 a.m. -12:10 p.m., is entitled "Making the Right Product & Solution Decisions for your Business” and will focus on how integrators are keeping up with rapidly changing technology in the security industry. Changes are occurring at an unprecedented pace and have created new challenges, as well as opportunities, for security integration/installation companies. This session will be moderated by John Galante, president of AE Ventures, with Dee Ann Harn, owner/CEO of RFI Enterprises, and Michael Pope, president of Safety Technologies, Inc., serving as panelists. Attendees will learn how to evaluate new products and solutions along as well as how to determine the technical, sales and marketing proficiencies and capital needs required to deliver new offerings. In addition, attendees will walk away from the session with the ability to benchmark their businesses against the research results from the new ESA Executive Management Professionals (EMP) group research project entitled "The EMP Product/Service Mix Optimization Study.” The study, which was funded by the Alarm Industry Research & Educational Foundation (AIREF) and conducted by Bentley University in conjunction with AE Analytics, examined how companies in the security industry are currently assessing new offerings for their businesses. A second session on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 from 2:30 p.m.-3:45 p.m. will be headlined by Henry Edmonds, founder and president of The Edmonds Group, a specialized investment bank focused on recurring revenue industries with a particular emphasis on the security alarm industry. In this session entitled "Maximizing the Value of Your Alarm Business: Value Drivers, Valuations and Capital Markets,” Edmonds will provide an insightful overview of the security industry that will help attendees understand what stimulates their businesses.
