In 2017, there were an estimated 1.25 million home burglaries in the United States, according to FBI data. That means there's a burglary about every 30 seconds.

Naomi Hess Places First in Scholarship Competition Dedicated to Children of First Responders

Naomi Hess, a student at River Hill High School, recently won the 2018 Electronic Security Association’s (ESA) Youth Scholarship Award – a $10,000 prize that will help pay the tuition as she heads to her dream school of Princeton University. The ESA Youth Scholarship Program was established to honor the children of America’s first responders. Hess is the daughter of Steven Hess, Deputy Fire Chief at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
