Introducing, ESA’s Redesigned Leadership Team

Introducing, ESA’s Redesigned Leadership Team

As a new era is being crafted for the Electronic Security Association, it has never been more vital that we foster great teamwork, accountability and synergy. With careful thought and consideration, the association is introducing a redesigned leadership team. These leaders, organized into a refreshed association structure, will encourage richer levels of engagement with individual members and with the industry-at-large. I have led the Electronic Security Association for 15 years. And in this time, I can think of countless moments that have reinforced why I am passionate about our industry and what we do as an association.

Each time I connect with a member, whose eyes were opened to a new idea we brought them; each time I read about partnerships that were born out of connections made through our events, each time we are able to stand up for the industry and stop dangerous legislation from passing and each time new talent is brought into the industry and educated through our training program — I have a wow moment.

And for a moment I think of how grateful I am to have the ability, through our association, to affect change in our industry. I’d like to use this opportunity tell you about my most recent wow moment.

It was during our strategic planning meeting for the 2018 calendar year. Staff coupled with volunteer leaders came together to rethink the future, implementing practices to deem what activities are most useful and beneficial to our members. ESA's Executive Committee, made up of volunteer leaders, drive the strategic initiatives of the association and our staff's leadership team is tasked with making these goals a reality.

At this particular planning meeting, I realized we were crafting a new era of the association — one in which, we don’t continue to do to things “because, we’ve always done them.” This new era was sparked by a renewed energy and focus on you, our ever-evolving member and what you value.

I have thought long and hard about who would be the right mix of leaders to drive this lofty initiative.

I am very excited to introduce a redesigned ESA Leadership Team. Some faces will be familiar, others are new to the executive-level of the association, but all share a similar passion for impacting the industry.

These leaders, organized into a refreshed association structure, will encourage richer levels of engagement with individual members and with the industry-at-large.

It has never been more vital that we foster great teamwork, accountability and synergy.

While our goals for association growth and a fundamental shift in prioritization will not be realized over night, I am confident in this talented group of professionals and leaders to create a more vibrant, promising and valuable association for all of our members.
