Irving, Texas (August 16, 2017) — The Electronic Security Association’s National Training School (ESA/NTS) is pleased to announce that the Cobb County, GA Fire Marshal has recently approved its Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) Level II Certification as an equivalent to NICET Certification.
The Board of Commissioners approved an amendment to the Cobb County Code of Ordinances Section 54-101 - Fire Alarm Requirements accepting the ESA/NTS Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) Level II certification as an equivalent to NICET. At least one individual on each fire alarm job conducting work in Cobb County must hold a NICET or NTS certification and must have proof of certification on their person.
“We are thrilled that our NTS Certified Fire Alarm Technician (CFAT) Level II Certification is now recognized by Cobb County as a NICET equivalent,” said Michelle Yungblut, ESA Vice President of Training and Certification. “This approval acknowledges the quality of NTS certifications and the knowledge NTS students gain through taking our courses and maintaining their NTS certifications.”
