The Oklahoma Department of Labor has recently released a notice that starting September 1st, Burglar Alarm/Residential Fire Alarm Salesperson applicants will not have to take an examination prescribed by the Commissioner of Labor. The FCC released two press releases last week. In the first the FCC has mandated that providers must notify customers of plans to retire copper networks at least three months in advance, unless they are able to guarantee that no service will be discontinued, reduced or impaired. The Texas Senate has recently passed SB 507 which requires school districts to install cameras in self-contained classrooms or other locations for students receiving special services. The Senate is predicting that the installations will generate close to $2.6 million for the Electronic Security Industry. The Foundation School Program will fund the new security upgrades with any remaining costs being offset by schools soliciting and accepting donations or grants to help pay for the equipment....
